Danielle Rose Russell Shares Cute Pic with Phoebe Tonkin on 'The Originals' Set

Hope and Hayley are reunited!

Danielle Rose Russell shared her first pic with Phoebe Tonkin on her Instagram, after meeting up with her on the set of The Originals on Wednesday (July 26).

The actress was just cast as the teenage Hope, daughter of Hayley and Klaus, for the upcoming fifth and final season.

During the panel at Comic-Con, showrunner Julie Plec shared that Danielle is perfect for the part.

“[She's] incredibly natural,” Julie shared. She just kind of lives and breathes with an intelligence, the way that all these guys do, as actors.”

The Originals just started filming the final season and will be back on The CW in 2018.

Candice King Could Appear In More Than Just One Episode of 'The Originals'

Candice King might be appearing in more than just one episode of The Originals.

Right now, the actress who plays Caroline Forbes is only scheduled to be in the premiere episode, but showrunner Julie Plec says that there could be more, and that her interaction with Klaus will be important to his character and the ship.

“Caroline is the headmistress of Klaus’ daughter’s school, so they are going to have an interaction at some point,” she shared with THR. “She has a perspective for him and the way that he’s living his life right now.”

And it looks like Joseph Morgan is looking forward to it: “I suspected there might be something more to this story. There’s always been … a feeling of something unresolved there.”

The Originals will return for its’ final season in 2018 on The CW.

The Originals just debuted the first trailer for the show’s final season and we can hardly wait until its premiere next year!

To top things off, showrunner Julie Plec is teasing some upcoming drama between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice King) in the new season.

“She’s just got so much life in her. She just brings the spirits up of people around her. There’s just something great about watching Caroline call Klaus on his s**t,” Julie told EW during Comic-Con.

In season five, Klaroline is said to be running the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted.

The Originals made the big announcement yesterday that the show would be ending with season five, and fans had a ton of mixed feelings about it all.

“Know that in a show about an immortal family who believes in ‘Always and Forever’, it’s never really the end of the story,” showrunner Julie Plec shared in her message to the fans.

Moments after, star Joseph Morgan shared his own touching message with the legions of fans and summed our feelings up perfectly.

“#TheOriginalsS5 will be our last,” he wrote on Twitter. “Thanks for your undying support & I hope you’ll keep the darkest corner of your heart reserved for us ;)”

We really are going to miss this show.

The end announcement comes right after Danielle Rose Russell‘s casting as the teenage Hope, and the news that Just JaredCandice King will be back as Caroline Forbes.

It’s the end of The Originals with season 5.

Julie Plec announced the decision on Twitter just before heading to Comic-Con for the weekend, where the show will have a panel.

“It’s both a gift and a burden to be able to control the ending of a series. Many shoes are not lucky enough to have a hand in deciding when the end has come,” she writes.

“Celebrate with us, cry with us, visit with us, watch us next spring when we air…and know that in a show about an immortal family who believes in ‘Always and Forever’, it’s never really the end of the story.”

The Originals has found it’s new Hope!

Actress Danielle Rose Russell, 17, has been cast as the teenage version of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter, according to EW.

As we know, there will be a major time jump for season five and Hayley was last seen dropping Hope off at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted in Mystic Falls.

The Vampire Diaries characters Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline (Candice Accola) run the school, so it’s possible we may see them pop up in the next season of The Originals.

There’s not much more we know other than Hope will have a love interest.
