'The Originals' Family Will Reunite All Because of This Character

'The Originals' Family Will Reunite All Because of This Character

We all saw this with our own eyes — at the end of The Originals‘ season four, the entire family spread far and wide to all the ends of the Earth — so, how are they going to reunite in the final season?

Hope. It all comes back to Hope (Danielle Rose Russell).

“Hope goes to great lengths, and not necessarily always on the up, to find ways to be reunited with the people that she loves,” series creator Julie Plec shared with TVLine.

She adds, “When you’re a 15-year-old at a boarding school, that involves breaking some rules and possibly relying on some cute, charming, young male assistance to help you escape where you are so you can get home.”

That “cute, charming” part sounds a lot like an actual Prince Charming… (Descendants fans will get this).

The Originals returns in April.

'The Originals' Showrunner Weighs In on Elijah & Hayley's Relationship For Final Season

We’re a few months out from the premiere of the final season of The Originals on The CW.

While we know, we will be getting some Klaroline scenes throughout the season, but what about our other favorite couple, Hayley and Elijah?

Julie Plec shared with TVLine that we shouldn’t expect them to be together for a while.

“Being able to write a narrative for Elijah that allowed him to live an entirely different life and imagining what that life would look like was a lot of fun,” she shared, adding that there are “a whole bunch of new dynamics.”

So…maybe? We’ll have to wait and see.

There will however, be an all Elijah-focused episode this season.

Showrunner Julie Plec told TVGuide that the special episode is the first they’ve ever actually done like this.

“Three episodes in, we actually get an episode that is Elijah from start to finish, and it’s the first time we’ve ever done that,” she shared.

“We get to see where Elijah left off in that episode so long ago, and what he’s been doing in the seven years that’s passed.”

The episode, titled “Ne Me Quitte Pas” will also be directed by Joseph Morgan.

While the cast have wrapped up filming on The Originals, we’re now getting more details about the final season coming our way in 2018.

Speaking with TVLine, showrunner Julie Plec opened up about the big bad for the final episodes.

It looks like The Hollow is still present in the fifth season, just bigger.

“The Big Bad this year is launched from an ideology more so than one singular person’s nefarious desire,” Julie says. “It’s an ideology that was spawned almost a century ago, a movement that has been simmering and stewing over that century.”

She adds, “It does have a personal connection to the Mikaelson family, but it also has a thematic resonance that is very timely.”

The Originals will premiere in the spring.
