The Originals Gather For Final Night Dinner After Filming Final Scenes

The Originals cast gathered up for one final dinner after filming their last scenes in Atlanta, Georgia, last night (December 12).

Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Danielle Rose Russell, Claire Holt, Riley Voelkel, Charles Michael Davis, Nathaniel Buzolic and Christina Moses gathered for a private dinner and shared a pic on social media.

“Thanks for the laughs the tears the silly the weird and for welcoming me into your world… it’s been fun…peace,” Christina, who plays Keelin, wrote on Instagram.

Danielle added, “love these beautiful people.”

PA Tory Fay Wells also shared a sweet goodbye to the set, writing, “Leaving our stages for the last time tonight. Farewell Originals family, I hope our paths cross again someday.”

Danielle Rose Russell & 'The Originals' Cast Kick Off Final Filming Day

It’s officially the final day of filming on The Originals!

The cast — including Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Danielle Rose Russell, Claire Holt, Riley Voelkel and more — gathered up for a group pic over the weekend before starting on their goodbyes.

“Last day working on @cworiginals today…it’s been so much fun,” Danielle wrote on Twitter. “I’m beyond excited for the world to meet the new Hope Mikaelson.”

Riley, who plays Freya, shared a touching message on her Instagram stories that you can watch below.

Danielle Rose Russell Has Finished Table Read For 'The Originals' Final Episode

While there might still be some reshoots to come, it looks like it’s a wrap on The Originals for Danielle Rose Russell.

Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, the actress who plays teenage Hope in the upcoming final season, shared a pic on her Instagram Stories with fans, writing that she had “finished the last episode of the Mikaelson journey”.

That’s not to say that Danielle won’t return as Hope Mikaelson…maybe in that spinoff? We’ll have to wait and see.

Aria Shahghasemi Joins 'The Originals' As Hope's Friend Landon

The Originals‘ final season is getting more and more new faces as we crawl our way to the premiere.

Aria Shahghasemi is the latest actor to join the fifth season, as Landon, TVLine reports.

Landon is a “thoughtful, compassionate and self-aware kid from the wrong side of the tracks who catches Hope’s attention when she witnesses him being bullied by his affluent classmates.”

Aria‘s Landon will make his debut in the 12th episode in the upcoming season.

The website also suggests that Landon could join the talked-about, but not confirmed, Hope-centric spinoff.

The Originals final season will debut in Spring 2018.

Danielle Rose Russell glams up for the premiere of her new movie, Wonder, held at Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (November 14).

The actress, who will next star in The Originals on The CW, joined her co-stars including Jacob Tremblay, Noah Jupe, Ty Consiglio, James Hughes, Elle McKinnon, Kyle Breitkopf, Millie Davis, and Erika McKitrick on the red carpet.

Wonder tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman (Tremblay), a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

'The Originals' Teenage Hope Danielle Rose Russell Finally Feels Like a Mikaelson

Danielle Rose Russell will star as a teenage Hope on The Originals final season, premiering next year on The CW.

The young actress just got started filming a few months ago and just revealed that she finally feels like a genuine Mikaelson.

“You know you’re a Mikaelson when you wake up barely able to speak because you spent your entire day screaming and crying at work yesterday,” Danielle shared on Twitter.

And as any Originals fan will tell you — this is EXACTLY what being a Mikaelson is all about.

A Hope-Centered Spinoff of 'The Originals' Could Actually Be Happening

We may be seeing Danielle Rose Russell a lot longer than just in the final season of The Originals.

During the TCA tour today, CW president Mark Pedowitz revealed that there have been talks for a spinoff centered on Hope Mikaelson.

“There’s been many discussions about the character Hope,” he shared. “I’m very interested if she wishes to do it in the The Vampire Diaries universe.”

He adds that while there are talks, nothing is set in stone.

“Nothing has come out of it yet. Julie [Plec] really wants to get the final season of The Originals done.”

For the upcoming season of The Originals, we’ll see Hope attend the special school run by headmistress Caroline Forbes (Candice King).

Hope and Hayley are reunited!

Danielle Rose Russell shared her first pic with Phoebe Tonkin on her Instagram, after meeting up with her on the set of The Originals on Wednesday (July 26).

The actress was just cast as the teenage Hope, daughter of Hayley and Klaus, for the upcoming fifth and final season.

During the panel at Comic-Con, showrunner Julie Plec shared that Danielle is perfect for the part.

“[She's] incredibly natural,” Julie shared. She just kind of lives and breathes with an intelligence, the way that all these guys do, as actors.”

The Originals just started filming the final season and will be back on The CW in 2018.
