ABC Confirms That 'Dancing With The Stars Junior' is Still In The Works

Dancing With The Stars Junior is STILL happening!!!

Word comes from TVGuide who asked ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey about the projected spinoff of the flagship US show — and she confirmed that it is still in the works.

“We were in the early stages of talent search for Dancing Junior and it wasn’t going to come together as quickly as we would have liked,” she shared.

While there was a little delay on the Junior spinoff, the all-athletes edition came together much quicker.

“We’d been talking for awhile about trying to do an all-sports edition, but the problem is that athletes have such tight schedules it’s hard to do a whole 13-week run,” she adds. “This actually slotted in perfectly, so we’re going to try that and see how it goes.”

If ABC needs suggestions on DWTS Junior, we have some perfect celebs for them.

DWTS Champs Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold Broke A Major Record on The Show

DWTS Champs Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold Broke A Major Record on The Show

Just last month, JJJ told you about the record that the now reigning champs Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold could break on Dancing With The Stars — and THEY DID IT!

The record to beat on the reality competition program was for the most perfect scores in a season.

The record for the most perfect scores in a single season is eight, held by Bindi Irwin, who won in season 21, and season 23 winner Laurie Hernandez.

But now, Jordan and Lindsay hold that record with 9 perfect scores in a single season — on Disney Night, Halloween Night, two from Trio Night, the Semi-finals, Finals and for 24-hour fusion challenge and redemption dance.

Congrats to both Lindsay and Jordan!

Morgan Larson Stepping In For Witney Carson on 'DWTS' Tour

Morgan Larson Stepping In For Witney Carson on 'DWTS' Tour

Just yesterday, it was revealed that Witney Carson had to drop out of the upcoming DWTS Light Up The Night Tour.

The pro dancer opened up about her father-in-law’s cancer diagnosis and needing to be with her family over everything else.

Now we’re hearing that Morgan Larson will be stepping in on the tour in Witney‘s spot — and couldn’t be happier.

If you’re an avid Disney watcher, you know that Morgan starred in Teen Beach 2 with reigning champ Jordan Fisher, who will also be on the tour.

Gleb Savchenko told TooFab about Witney‘s absence that family always comes first.

“Family comes first and our hearts go out to her and we pray that he’ll be better and he’ll recover and he’ll fight through, but we will miss her,” he shared. “She missed the last tour when she was supposed to be in it and she is missing this one that has everyone in it, but Morgan is covering her so it will be fun.”

Witney Carson Pulls Out of 'DWTS: Live' Light Up The Night Tour For A Heartbreaking Reason

Witney Carson Pulls Out of 'DWTS: Live' Light Up The Night Tour For A Heartbreaking Reason

Witney Carson has announced that she will not be on the upcoming DWTS Live: Light Up The Night tour kicking off at the end of the month.

The DWTS pro dancer revealed the heartbreaking reason why on Instagram today:

“My sweet father-in-law has been dealing with pancreatic cancer for the last year and a half. A few days ago he was having stomach issues & was unable to keep anything down,” Witney writes. “His doctors decided to do an exploratory surgery to find the problem, which we thought was just a minor issue. Unfortunately, we were completely wrong.”

“The cancer has spread throughout his entire abdomen. We are so blindsided and still in shock… The doctors have explained there is nothing that they can do and have told us that we only have a few weeks with him before the cancer takes his life. After much heartache and discussion, Kevin has decided to fight it and try another aggressive chemotherapy treatment.”

Witney adds, “My heart hurts to tell you all that I will not be able to do the DWTS tour this winter. This is an extraordinarily difficult time for us, I hope all of you can understand that my place is here with my family.”

“Right now, my focus needs to be on my family & especially on my husband. I want to wish my partner, Frankie, and the whole tour an amazing run. I love my fans & I feel so devastated that I can’t be there, but know that my heart is there with you.”

We’re sending our prayers and thoughts to Witney and Carson, and their family, as they deal with this heartbreaking situation.
